SERBIA OPEN 2021

Serbian Chess Federation organises International Open Chess Championship of Serbia, Serbia Chess Open 2021, from 2nd-8th July 2021.

The event will take place in a 5 stars Hotel “Metropol Palace”, in the “Ivo Andric” playing venue.

The event will be played within two groups, Masters event for players with a minimum FIDE standard rating 2100 and Amateur group for players rated below 2200.

Serbia Open 2021 will be played in 9 rounds, Swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes per player for 40 moves, plus 15 minutes until the end of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per each move, starting from the move one.

The total prize fund of the event will be 25.000 EUR, with 5.000 EUR reserved for the Winner of the event. The total prize fund for the Masters event will be 20.600 EUR, while the prize fund for the Amateur event is 4.400 EUR.

All the chess players have the right to participate in the tournament, regardless of the title and rating. Registration deadline is June 29th.
