European School Individual Cup 2021

European School Chess Individual Cup is organised by Montenegro Chess Federation and International School Chess Union.

European School Individual Cup 2021 is played as combined event (blitz, rapid, classical time control) within 5 different age categories: U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15, open and girls sections separately.

The event will be played according to a Combined system:

• Six days for Classic tournament (9 rounds with time control of 90 minutes for the whole game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one)
• One day for Rapid tournament (Time control 10 minutes + 5 seconds of increment)
• One day for Blitz tournament (Time control 3 minutes + 2 seconds of increment)

After 9 rounds of Classical tournament, in each age group, players will be divided in groups A and groups B:

• A group- consisting from players placed from 1-8 in the final standings
• B group- consisting from all the other participants.

Group A will continue playing Rapid in the Olympic system (3 double rounds with Armageddon in each round if needed) and Blitz in 7 double rounds- Round Robin System.

Group B will play a rapid event of 7 rounds and blitz event of 11 rounds, Swiss system.

The Winner of each age category (A group) becomes European School Chess Cup Winner for 2021. Top-ranked 5 players from each group will receive special prizes in goods, as well as top 5 winners of group B (each age category). All the Winners (10 in group A and 10 in group B) will receive trophies, and top three players of each group will be awarded with medals.

The event is open to all players representing European National Federation, School Association or School. Entry forms must be sent by National Chess Federations to the organising committee before the registration deadline- 5th June 2021.
